Whenever I hear of a child being paraded as an example, I ask whose children are not being seen at all. While the country argues over one boy's sainthood, millions of girls still walk long roads to schools that may not respect their minds or their bodies. Celebrity can hide structural neglect like a bright shawl thrown over a cracked wall. I would rather see policies that ensure every Abhinav and every Aisha has a safe classroom and time to play before we glorify any ten year old as a spiritual authority.
