When a crowd demands conformity, resist. I have no affection for political idolatry, whether it wears a red hat or a halo. Yet a free people must tolerate the rough sound of someone changing her mind in public. On stage in Phoenix on Dec. 21, 2025, she said it is fine to change your mind, and that is a principle, not a scandal. The real danger is the mob instinct that says a citizen must be exiled for holding the wrong opinion. Let the arguments be answered with better arguments, not blacklists. If her endorsement is shallow, it will collapse under questions. If it is sincere, then the republic survives another noisy day.
