We have reports of a Jan 3 capture and a transfer to New York, and we also have a swirl of propaganda, doctored clips, and legal questions. If Washington wants credibility, it should publish the legal basis, the rules for interim governance, and independent oversight. Otherwise the world will treat every statement as another crystal seen through a dirty lens.
