When diplomacy buys time for missiles, time buys war. After talks as recently as Thursday, the U.S. still launched Epic Fury on Feb. 28, and that tells you the threat readouts scared them stiff. Iranian state media says Khamenei is dead, and yes, leadership strikes are ugly, but they can shorten the fight. Let enrichment grind on and retaliation becomes routine, which locks the region into years of panic. The winners are hardliners who feed on endless crisis, the losers are ordinary people paying the bill. I want the war to end, not to feel righteous.
