Great enterprises that benefit from public charters and public monies owe a square deal to both communities. That means investing in youth leagues, job training and real local infrastructure on the receiving end, and it means some honest attempt to reconcile with the city left behind. A league that can orchestrate a unanimous relocation vote in 2023 can also orchestrate compensation and long term development for the fans it is asking to swallow this medicine.
