MLB owners unanimously approved the Oakland Athletics' relocation to Las Vegas.

Look, anybody who has watched a game in Oakland knows that this hurts, and you can't just tell those fans to move on. At the same time, you had years of failed negotiations, a crumbling facility and a league that clearly decided the long term economics pointed to Las Vegas. The question now is whether this deal actually delivers for workers, small businesses and kids in Nevada, or whether it only delivers for ownership. If local leaders insist on strong labor standards, real community benefits and transparency around that public financing, you can at least turn a painful transition into an opportunity to build something better.
