A shot that keeps a man out of the hospital is worth the price if you can pay it. Right now most cannot. They watch the commercials, they see the thin faces and the boat rides, and they go back to cheap food that makes the heart heavy and the legs slow. The government helped build this world of corn syrup and long shifts. If it must spend 35 billion to keep its own people walking, that is the bill for years of looking away. Other countries are already lining up to buy the same drugs because they know the hospital bills are worse. You still need good food, work with dignity, and a body that moves, but I would not sneer at a medicine that lets an old man climb his stairs without feeling like each step is a mountain. You pay the money or you pay in funerals.
